The ASR harnesses the combined expertise of the AANS and the AAOS. Leveraging the AANS’s robust data science capabilities and the AAOS Registry Program’s platform tools, the ASR significantly enhances the national spine data collection landscape. It fosters intelligent data utilization by engaging diverse healthcare stakeholders in this collaborative initiative.

This strategic partnership will empower the effective use of aggregated data to optimize patient care, propel the science of spine surgery and navigate the complexities of a transitioning value-based healthcare system.

Recognizing the shared responsibility of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons in spine surgery, the ASR establishes a unified data platform. This platform provides the largest source of spine surgical data in the United States, serving as a valuable resource for physicians, patients, payers, regulatory bodies and industry partners.
